Terms of Service

1. Provider

These terms govern your use of the shift_ labs website, platform, workshops, and masterclasses operated by Friction Ventures GmbH, Zurich, Switzerland.

2. Services

shift_ labs offers AI workshops ("Shift"), adoption programs ("Adopt"), and masterclasses ("Master") for enterprises and individuals. Specific terms for each service are provided at the time of booking.

3. Bookings and Payment

  • Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment via Stripe Checkout.
  • Prices are listed in CHF and include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • Invoices are provided electronically after payment.

4. Cancellation

  • Masterclass: Full refund up to 14 days before the event. 50% refund up to 7 days before. No refund thereafter. Transfer to another date is possible subject to availability.
  • Workshops & Adopt: Cancellation terms are agreed individually in the service contract.

5. Platform Access

The shift_ platform is provided as-is. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at any time. Your account may be suspended if you violate these terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All workshop materials, course content, and platform features are the intellectual property of Friction Ventures GmbH. Materials provided during workshops are licensed for personal or internal business use only and may not be redistributed.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, Friction Ventures GmbH is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in Zurich, Switzerland.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.
